These past couple weeks have been BUSY. Firstly, I've been to two Uni interviews and now have 3 offers! I'm really happy about that, but my first choice interview is today- that's nerve racking compared to the others. Hopefully it goes well and I can type up all about it. My other two interviews were just conversations on couches, while this one will be more intense. On a more photographed note, I started the BFI fiction filmmaking course a few weeks ago! Travelling back and forth from Carlisle to Newcastle twice a week is tiring, but not as bad as it sounds: and definitely worth it. There's about twenty other kids on the course and they're all really nice, it's surreal speaking to people with an interest in film making after spending so much time in film limbo or filmbo. The course runners try really hard to make sure we learn and have a good time, and the equipment is the best I've ever used (sony PXW-Z150 I think). It's great to look over fiction writing again with someone who know wha their talking about, and i'm learning a lot about balancing out my confidence in a team setting. On the one hand, it helps to organise people and to have things run faster, on the other it can over shadow other people-not good. It'll get easier once they get more confident with film-making. Practice makes perfect (that's a comment about me not them by the way).
